Craft Fair Goodies continued

Last year I think I had just a little too much Christmasy stuff at my sales, and not enough "everyday" items, so this year I plan on changing that. I hope to offer both Christmas and everyday choices of items. (these photos were taken in a room with poor lighting, so please forgive the muffled colors) Here are some Magnetic Tablet holders in Sage Shadow: More Sage Shadow:

Some Christmas themed ones in Real Red:

Some Lavender Lace and Lovely Lilac:

And finally some Garden Green and Green Galore:

The images are various Stampin' Up items, from mostly retired sets : Serene Snowflakes, Punch Pals, Priceless, Circle Of Friendship and Pocket Silhouettes just to name a few.

Working on Craft Fairs!

I started getting busy making items for my craft fairs coming up in November 2012. Yes I realize it isn't even summer yet, but these things take time, and since I have three shows in three weeks, I want to be sure I have plenty made!!! So here are some decorated tea lights! I used various kinds of papers I have on stock and decorated them. I have four different scents and also unscented. Now the papers aren't flame safe, so they each have warnings inside the packages. These first ones are from scraps that I had, but not enough to make multiples: And there are some Christmas ones:

And some purple ones:

And next some pink ones:

And finally some close-ups:

I used Stampin Up's 2 different sized scallop circle for the top pieces and added some ribbon. These were not my idea, I saw them on The Southern Stamper's blog first.

Stay tuned for more craft fair goodies. I will try to post them as I complete them.

Handmade really is better!

(**Pictured - Cards I made for a Masculine swap on my favorite MB)

Came across this while I was browsing. I am sure many of you feel the same way!

Are you still buying greeting cards that broadcast someone else's sentiments about life's most important moments? Show others how much they really mean to you by creating your own cards for various occasions: birthdays, graduations, illnesses or deaths, anniversaries.

Anybody can grab a mass-produced card along with the week's groceries. It takes a special person to spend the time really thinking about what message to send and how best to convey it. Put the power of the personal to work.
From A Whole New Mind: Why Right-Brainers Will Rule the Future by Daniel H. Pink

And never mind the fact that Mass-produced cards cost so much!!! And when do they ever really say what you want? I mean sure anyone can say Happy Birthday with a card, but when you create a special card for that special person, you can say exactly what you want, the way YOU want to say it!!!

Not sure how to get started making your own hand crafted card? Ask me about a card making class today!!!

Under Construction

I am attempting to change my Blog Header. I took the time to create it in My Digital Studio, but I don't have PhotoShop so I can't figure out how to resize it for my header. Give me time to play with it. As it is now, you can't really read it, and that is driving me a little bonkers!
