Ok now with all of that said here is what I've made with the set that I choose from Regina. I decided to do non-card items for this hop. I choose ALL ABOUT SCHOOL. It had a lot of great images, and I did choose a few of them to work with. I went in and changed the size of the images before I printed them out. I am sure there is another way to do this, but I wasn't sure how to do it. The yellow circle on the ruler picture/note holder is actually printed on yellow cardstock, where all of the rest is printed on white cardstock and colored with my Marvelous Markers by Stampin' Up. The black gingham ribbon (retired) is also by Stampin' Up. The apple (which I trimmed off the leaf) is a separate image which I colored and added to the sentiment circle. I thought this was a cute idea for a little teacher's gift.
The second thing I made was a cute little pencil holder, using the same ALL ABOUT SCHOOL set. I also used my large SU Star punch as well as the "Seeing Stars" stamp set. I thought this was a cute idea to give that special little one a little gift on their first day of school. Maybe you could slide some sparkly pencils inside? Or maybe some cute pens? It could also be used as a special award from a teacher to a student.
I am working on this post on Wednesday morning (at 2 am) as I will be out of town the weekend of the hop. Therefore I won't be able to make changes if something comes up. If you get lost along the way, check in with Crystal's blog as she will be able to update you.
Ok Hoppers don't forget to leave comments! And continue your hopping with LYNNE!
