Black With Bling

These were the last card that I made last night/early this morning. I always seem to create better over night! I guess since I don’t have to keep answering “Mom, Mom, MOM!” every 5 minutes! I was up until 5:30 am this morning!
Anyway I made these cards for CardJunkie’s February theme of Black with Bling, on Cricut.com. The design is a Stampin Up Jumbo roller, called whimsy, stamped with StazOn ink. I LOVE this roller!!!!! I tore the edges, and adhered them to black cardstock, and again onto white cardstock. Then I used little self adhesive rhinestones I found at Walmart back last summer. Sadly they don’t all carry them anymore. But they used to come in packs of clear and Lime, Clear and Teal, and Clear and Pink. They were in the kids crafts section. I love that they already have the adhesive on them! And they are just perfect for just a little bling! The “hello” is by Karen Foster’s Snap Stamps, it is the small casual font. I love that you can snap them all together and write whatever you want it to say! Saying is stamped in the ColorBox pigment white ink.

Project Recipes for the Spring/Summer 2009 Catalog

For those of you who have catalogs, and for those of you about to receive them....Stampin' Up! has changed the catalog layout with this catalog. Usually in the back of the catalog they had the entire list of projects in the catalog with the recipes for the projects listed by the page number you could find them on. They have omitted that from this catalog to save money and make room for other items, like the Big Shot items and the Decor Elements line of products. They have the recipes for the projects in all of the catalogs-minis and full catalogs-listed on the website. I have posted a link for you all to click on to make it easier to find. I always look at the recipes, and was shocked when I didn't see them listed in the back of the book. But I am glad they are still offering them someplace!

Sorry I don't know how to add a link, so you will have to copy and paste. One of these days I will learn how to do work this Blog thing!!!

February ATCs

I joined the winter months ATCs swap on Cricut.Com. For each of three month’s, January, February and March I needed to make 5 ATCs, or Artist Trading Cards using a theme for that month. These are the ones I made for February. I used the Something New to Love set. The Cardstock colors are Very Vanilla, and Pretty in Pink. The red is a store bought red. I used Real red classic inks, along with Pink Passion and Pretty in Pink. The sentiment is in black VersaMark. A little plain, but I like how it turned out!

Big on Christmas

I made this Card front for a Monthly Card front swap I am hosting on Cricut.com, and also for a swap for my Stampin’ Up group. I used the Big On Christmas set from Stampin’ Up. I stamped the image on the Whisper White cardstock, matted it on Bashful Blue. I then used bleach with the snowflakes from the “Season of Joy” and the “Short and Sweet” sets from Stampin’ Up. I used the Brilliant Blue Cardstock for the background. I must say when I made them, I used two different qualities of cardstock. I made some with the Brilliant Blue from Stampin’ Up (shown in this picture) and some with a dark blue I bought at a store. The ones I made with Stampin’ Up’s cardstock came out much clearer, with the bleach.

Snow Swirled Christmas Card

I made this card for a shoebox swap for my Stampin’ Up group , The Philly Inkers. I used the Real Red cardstock as a back ground. I stamped “En Francois” background with black StazOn ink. Then on Whisper White cardstock I stamped the tree and sentiment from “Snow Swirled” in Glorious Green Classic Ink. I attached that to Glorious Green Cardstock, and tied it up with ¼” Real Red Grosgrain ribbon. I attached that to the Real Red card. To give it a little shine I added some Dazzling Diamonds to the tree. I must say that I am very proud of this card!

Season of Friendship

I love how this card turned out!! I made this one for a swap with the Philly Inkers group. First I used Very Vanilla cardstock. I crumpled up saran wrap and dabbed it into three colors, Real Red, Old Olive and So Saffron. I adhered the very vanilla to the red riding hood cardstock and then again to the old Olive, I then stamped the sentiment on Old Olive Cardstock adhered to the card and Viola!
I love that this set is so versitile! It comes with the tree (which I stamped in Chocolate chip) and then a few different smaller stamps, including the leaves, a bird, snowflakes and a flower. So you can change the look of the tree for the season!

Season of Joy

I made this card for a swap for the Philly Inkers Group. I used real red and glorious green cards stock. On Whisper White I stamped the tree from the Season of Joy Stampin Up set. I then used adhesive over the entire white piece and added Stampin Up's Dazzling Diamonds. I love this technique, as there is no need to use your heat gun!
