Swaps for Spring Fling - Faux Silk

These are another bunch of cards I made for Spring Fling. These also feature Tempting Turquoise. The flowers are from the Hostess Level 1 set "Because I Care"
(102118). And the sentiment is from the SaleABration set "Bliss" (123217 - Clear). Remember that the only way to get the SaleABration items are to earn them! You may choose one SaleABration set for free with every $50 purchase (prior to tax and shipping) If you are intersted, don't delay, they will only be available through March 31st! I added a 1/4" basic Black grosgrain ribbon. Then the sentiment is punched out with the oval punch (119855)and matted on the Scallop Oval (119856). The technique is called Faux Silk. You stamp your image on tissue paper, and then crumple it. Then you adhere to your cardstock with the Anywhere (104045) glue stick.

Stamp Camp Creation 2010

I was asked to help put with the Stamp Camp put on by my Upline Claire Lawrence, and my fellow PhillyInker Heather Yates yesterday. It was a lot of fun, and the ladies that attended were just great! This is the second Stamp Camp that I helped them with, and both were a great experience! A few of us got together before hand and made the projects. This is two of the cards the participants were able to make. We kissed the "Butterfly Accent" stamp with the "Dot, dot, dot" stamp from Stampin' Up. I had never tried this before, and I love the results! The little butterfly accents are from the "Beautiful Wings" embosslit folder. And the sentiment is from the "Whimsical Words" SaleABration set. If you want these stamp sets, don't wait! The Whimsical Words is available for FREE during SaleABration ONLY! And currently all of the other butterfly items are in the Mini Catalog which ends on April 30th!!!!
These cute cards were Claire's design!! Thanks for sharing with us Claire!

Just Riding

I wanted to get a few more sets that were more Masculine. And what better time to do it! I got "Just Riding" for FREE during SaleABration! How is that for a great deal?? The Sentiment is from "Birthdays Count" and the little speckles (although hard to see in the picture) are from the "Itty Bitty Backgrounds". The speckles are stamped in Versamark, so they are subtle. I stamped the bike in Versamark, and then embossed it with my heat gun using black embossing powder. The helmet is also from Just riding, and I stamped it in Mellow Moss Classic Ink.
I used Mellow Moss, Handsome Hunter, Chocolate Chip and Naturals White cardstock. The Naturals White has little flecks in it to give it a more, well, natural feel. The little tab is made using the Word Window punch, and is attached with a silver brad.
Simple, but masculine. Exactly what I was going for!

I {heart} hearts - PhillyInkers SWAP

As usual I am behind in posting. Ugh I think that is the hardest part, getting to post things once they are created!! The creating is the easy part!
So ayway...I made these fronts for the swap we had at the Philly Inkers February meeting. I used the new (and for a limited time only) "I {heart} hearts" set for the hearts, and the SaleABrations set called "Whimsical Words". I am really going to miss being able to demo "Whimsical Words" It is such a cute set! I used Pixie Pink, Whisper White, and Real Red Cardstock on these. And pretty much all of the sades of pink/red that SU carries, as well as the Versamark and Basic Black Classic Ink. Some of the brads were black, while on others I used silver.
