Here are some bookmarks I have been working on for the Craft Fair that is coming up soon. I did get the design idea off of SplitCoastStampers, however, I thought the ones they made, were a little large, so I adjusted it to be smaller. I actually used papers from the Designer Series Paper Sampler that Stampin' Up Demonstrators are able to order. This one is from last year, so the papers are retired. I tried to come up with something creative to do with the papers, since they are after all only 3 inches square and have a hole in them! The first picture is some of the bookmarks I made, and the second one is a close up of a bookmark inside a book (and yes it's one of the Twilight series books!) There won't really be too many that are the same since I am using the sampler, but that's okay, there will be lots to choose from! I used the circle punches, as well as the scalloped Circle punch, and grosgrain ribbons. Some of the Cardstock colors are also retired.
Sorry for the dark picture. I have them spread out on my chair and I guess my head was blocking the light.

Here's another notebook that I altered. I just can't get over how much fun these are to make! I used Designer Papers from one of the Hostess Designer Series Paper Packs that are retired now. This one is in Brocade Blue (retired), Whisper White and Soft Suede. I used the "Thoughts and Prayers" set by Stampin' Up. For the life of me I can't find where the sentiment is from. Sorry about that! The inspiration from this one came from a card I saw by Erica Jones on Stampin' Connection (membership is exclusive to Stampin' Up Demonstrators).

I have been, and will continue to be working on items for upcoming craft fairs. Recently I tried my hand at altering notebooks. This one is one of those small notebooks, I think they are like 3 inches by 5 inches or something like that. This is actually the second notebook I made, the first one will be shown on my other blog later this month. I ran my Old Olive piece with my Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder through my BigShot. Then I stamped different circles from Stampin' Up's Circle Circus stamp pad in Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, and Old Olive classic inks. I added some Rich Razzleberry scallops which I used my Scallops Border punch on. Then I used some of my ribbons (some retired) to tie on the spiral. The sentiment is from "Apple Blossoms" which is a hostess set in the new Stampin' Up 2010-2011 Idea book and Catalog.
This one didn't make it to the craft fair though. I was showing the ladies at my Card Club and one of them bought this one, and one other, which I unfortunately didn't snap a picture of on my regular camera, only my cell phone. I'll have to see if I can upload it later.
Stay tuned for more books, book marks and hopefully more exciting things!

I came across this great cause that a Stampin' Up Demonstrator in Australia is having along with other demonstrators from Australia. Although we in the USA are not eligible to win any of the prizes, I thought I should pass along the site for anyone who is able to help such an adorable little boy! Check it out, there are challenges, and tutorials available there as well! Helping Hudson
I know, I know, I am MIA....again. I have been working on things, honest I have. I'm just behind on taking pictures and posting. I do have some things to post, some cards and bookmarks. I will get them posted soon!
I have just been having too much fun fishing and hanging out with my children! Please be patient with me, I'll be back soon!
